HT bets for Sunday 22 January

RECOMMENDED
Man Utd v Liverpool, Man Utd to win 1st half, 21/10 with Paddy Power
Parma v Chievo, Parma to win 1st half, 9/4 with Sporting Odds
Udinese v Roma, Roma to win 1st half, 23/10 with Bet365

In the big match in England today, Man U v Liverpool, the home side should be backed at Paddy Power’s generous odds to be leading at the break. Over half of United’s goals at Old Trafford this season have come in the 1st half and they have lead at HT in 6 of the last 7 Premiership games there. Liverpool have impressed this season and Benitez deserves great credit. They have conceded only 3 first half goals away from home, but trailed last time out at Bolton and have also suffered a first half defeat at Fulham this season. The first half will undoutedly be tight, but Utd have to be taken as great value to sneak in ahead.

Parma have 5 1-0 wins at HT in their last 7 home games, they have conceded only 4 fh goals in 10 games at home. Chievo have scored once in their last 6 away (at Siena). They have been behind in 4 of those games after 45.

Roma’s away stats are incredible: no fh goals conceded in any of their 9 games and they have lead at the break in all of their last 5. Udinese seem the perfect opposition – they have scored 2 fh goals at home all season and have been behind twice in their last 4 at home.
