I have a tip from my Dutch correspondent for tonight. I never bet on cup matches but if you are looking for some action on a quiet night then you could do worse than look at SC Heerenveen (at home) to beat Ajax at 19/10 with Sporting Odds in the Amstel Cup. The price does look slightly generous for a team that has a strong record at home in the league this season. Ajax are in a mini-crisis, their thus far average (by their high standards) season reached a new low at the weekend with the 1-4 loss at home to local rivals Utrecht. The corresponding fixture in the league ended 4-2 to the home side just over a month ago.
