This can only be described as a very successful inaugural month for the Value Betting blog.
Looking at the figures if one had backed every bet I have mentioned on here (bar the link to the Betting Zone tip) at even stakes the profit from 43 units invested would be 31.79 units. That’s an incredible 73.94% profit. Following only the RECOMMENDED BETS would have shown 14.43 point profit from 21 staked (68.71%). It is very unlikely that either of these rates will be maintained. The picks will remain as solid as ever though, so it will be interesting to see how February pans out...
Some big value bets came in, most notably of the recommended bets was Siena to be leading at HT at Palermo at 9/2. But in general the healthy profit is down to the strike rate remaining consistently higher than it needed to be in order for these value bets to return just a steady profit.
Everton’s 1-0 win at home to Arsenal was a real money spinner for anybody who decided to follow all 3 value tips on the live game: the home win; HT home win; and Everton to score first all would have collected to give a 12 point profit from an investment of 3 points. The month ended nicely as well for anyone who backed Burton not to lose at Greys yesterday. Both the win and the double chance odds looked generous and Burton obliged with a 3-2 win.
But my favourite value find this month has to be the 5/1 that Sporting Odds offered on Athletic Bilboa, a team that had opened the scoring in 7 out of 9 away games, to score the first goal away to Barca.
I hope the blog is proving useful to some. Please feel free to leave any comments or email me directly using the link at the bottom of the page if you have any comments, questions or suggestions...
