3. NEC v Feyenoord, NEC to win, 3/1 with Spodds
Feyenoord are unpredtictable. They have more points away from home this season than anyone else, yet they had to come back from 2-0 down to draw with Roosendaal (bottom) and have lost to Den Haag (3rd bottom) within the last 4 matches. They seem to blow hot and cold – earlier in the season they followed up impressive wins at Ajax and Twente with consecutive losses at Utrecht and Waalwijk. NEC have a decent home record – they have 4 wins from the last 5, the only loss in that run being to PSV. Indeed only PSV have managed to score against NEC their last 6 home matches. Of course, all things being equal, Feyenoord should win this, but I am willing take the high odds of 3/1 on the chance that Feyenoord suffer another away day anomaly. (Corresponding fixture last season was 2-0).
4. Nurnberg v Eintracht Frankfurt, EF to win 1st half, 14/5 with Bet365
EF definitely look worth a try at these odds. Although the home side have trailed at HT only three times all season, two of those have come in the last 4. EF’s away record is impressive. They have scored first in all of their last 6 away matches, and at tough places such as Bremen, Mönchengladbach and, most recently, Leverkusen. They have lead in 4 of those 6 matches at the break. Surely worth a bet at odds of nearly 3/1 to do so again at Nurnberg.
