Melzer tb Lu £3 @ 1,85
Not often I bet on a tennis favourite (and when I do I normally regret it), but I fancy Melzer will be too good for Lu and I am very pleased to get this price (was @ 1.76 yesterday).
Leander Paes, Antony Dupuis, Ramon Delgado, Simon Greul, Brian Wilson, C Guccione. Those are the only players Lu has managed to beat in 22 ATP hc matches since 2005. Not exactly a stellar list and while Melzer only averages around 40% win rate during this time, nothing spectacular, his indoor form at the end of last yr was good and he should beat Lu here.
Bet loses. Melzer retires at 1-1 in the second set after losing the first on a tie-break. Bad loss for me and the bank is now heading the wrong way fast.
