Not often I get to see the Toon play live on Swedish TV but I had the (dis)pleasure of seeing them today on Kanal 5. My God we were awful. Seems so many of our players cannot do the simple things, such as, a. control the ball and b. pass it to a teammate. Nicky Butt got it half right with a tremendous through ball to pick out out Helguson for the goal which really put Fulham in control. And Stephen Carr, what a waste of space, out-foxed by well-known dribble-king Papa Bouba Diop for Fulhams 2nd.
I would love to know what has happened to Damian Duff? Afwul touch and just constantly failed to do anything of note (expect consistently lose the ball) on the left. In contrast Milner was very bright on the right in the 1st half and seems to be a contender for player of the season for us so far. Lovely ball from sub Nobby for our consolation goal in the 93rd minute, showing the lads how to pass. Oh, and the other highlight was hearing the toon army out singing the home fans throughout.
Anyway, come on Boro, make me some profit!
