Not often I bet on cup matches (no data) but I reckon United will have a tough time against Middlesbrough today. Fergy will see the FA Cup as the least of his priorities now and we may well see a much weakened side play here. There is also the feeling that United have used up a fair share of luck in recent weeks and now may be a great chance for Boro to try and catch them out. I was considering laying United, but with neither side fancying the draw (Boro will not want to try again at Old Trafford while Fergy will not want another match on the schedule) I will instead go for smaller stakes on the home win.
Unmatched: £1 Boro tb United (90 mins) @ 6.60 (5.50)
--------
Later:
United team is pretty much max strength:
29. Tomasz Kuszczak
2. Gary Neville
5. Rio Ferdinand
15. Nemanja Vidic
4. Gabriel Heinze
7. Cristiano Ronaldo
22. John O'Shea
16. Michael Carrick
11. Ryan Giggs
8. Wayne Rooney
17. Henrik Larsson
and the odds on Boro have dropped (!) to 5.10, so no bet there.
Trying to get matched instead on the overs @ 2.20 (2.14)
Bet: matched @ 2.22 just after KO.
Bet wins as Boateng makes it 2-1, two mins into the 2nd half.
