Everton v Arsenal (live match)

This is NOT a “recommended bet”, but for those looking to bet on the live match early on Saturday, the best value surely lies in opposing Arsenal in some way. The Gunners away form has been distinctly average on the road this season, averaging only 0.90 points per game, yet the bookies still have them as a big favourite here. Everton seem to have crawled away from relegation trouble, but that is mainly down to their away form. This match could go either way – Everton may grind out a win or a draw or Arsenal may even find some sort of form and win, but there is certainly no value in backing Arsenal to win at 8/11. The home win at 19/4 (Spodds) or the 5/1 that Bluesq offer on Everton be leading at HT (they managed this against Chelsea earlier in the season!) look far more sensible shouts. Personally I would take the 9/4 on offer with Spodds for Everton to score first.

Awesome stuff mate. Very brave of you there, I've been caught out a few times this season backing arsenal at odds on away from home. Thanks

Cheers James. As I said in my I Just Can't See It... post last week, there is often great value to be found in backing against the big names when they are out of form.

Arsenal's away form has been poor all season, especially when compared to the last couple of seasons...

I am pleased you are finding the blog useful.
