Feyenoord v FC Utrecht, Utrecht to win 1st half, 19/4 with Spodds
Feyenoord v FC Utrecht, Utrecht to win match, 6/1 widely available
If you have been following the blog then you will know all about Utrecht and their amazing away form by now. Quick recap: they have still yet to conceded a fh goal away from home; have scored the opener in 9 of their last 10 away; have lead at HT in 8 of their last 10; have 6 wins in last 8 away, including at AZ and Ajax. Of course Feyenoord are no mugs at home (1 fh goal conceded in last 8, lead in 6 of those at HT) but we are looking for value here, not guaranteed winners. No way are Utrecht 6/1 shots to win this match and no way are they nearly 5/1 shots to lead at the break. Both bets are great value and both are recommended.
PS Utrecht won this fixture 3-0 last season, leading 1-0 at the break.
St Etienne v Nantes, Nantes to win 1st half, 10/3 with BlueSq
It is not often something from the super-tight French league catches my eye, but this looks very good. St-Et’s recent home form is appalling, they have trailed in each of their last 4 home games 0-1 at the break. Nantes look like a good shot at 10/3 to take advantage of this: they have lead in 2 of their last 4 away at HT, and have conceded only 1 fh goal in those matches.
Fiorentina v Siena, Siena to win 1st half, 11/2 with Spodds
Fiorentina’s home record has been mighty impressive all season, until the recent slip up when Lazio beat them 2-1 and lead 1-0 at HT. Siena have 2 impressive away wins in their last 3 at Palermo and Udinese. They lead at the break in both these games and have only conceded 1 fh goal in their last 4 away, so they are in good form. 11/2 looks a little too generous.
