Aug 14/15

After showing great discipline not getting involved on the first weekend, 2 corkers in mid-week means it is time to start this seasons campaign.

Portsmouth v Man U (2-1, 1-3, 2-0, 1-0, -, -)
Pompey have won this 3 of the last 4 seasons, so Utd clearly have difficulties on the south coast. Simply put, irrespective of their 0-0 at home to Reading today, I don't see how Utd can be odds on here for the win. Pompey drew 2-2 away to Derby on the opener, but considering they have only won away 10 times in the last 3 seasons in the Prem, not much should be read into that. They are traditionally a strong home side and their record against Utd should see them confident of not losing.
Current lay price is 1.65 on BF, I am unmacthed at 1.60, awaiting team news
update: Lay price now up to 1.72
update: Wednesday, lay price now 1.74, moved my price up to 1.70 and I am confident I will get matched at that before KO (risk £5).
Result 1-1; Bet WINS (matched @ 1.70)

Fulham v Bolton (1-1, 2-1, 2-0, 2-1, 4-1, 3-0)
Fulham lost at Arsenal to goals in the last 5 mins after being gifted the lead by Lehmann. I am not reading too much into that; Bolton's embarrassing home defeat to the Toon is much more interesting. We could see this season just how much Allardyce meant at Bolton, I really can see them struggling after that demoralising loss. With 5 losses at Fulham in the last 6 seasons, I would fancy Fulham at about evens here.
Bet: Fulham to win £5 @ 2.46 WINS. (2-1)
