A quick look at the weekends fixtures and only one jumps out at me.
Fulham v Boro (2-1, 1-0, 0-2, 3-2, 1-0, 2-1)
Again surprised to find Fulham well above evens here. It's been a while since they won 2 on the bounce at home, but the last time was against Boro in December last season (following a 2-1 win over Arsenal). Anyway, can't read too much into that as Fulham are under a new manager now. Sanchez though will realise how vital it is to take 3 pts in these home matches against fellow potential relegation candidates.
Boro are still missing Woodgate, leaving a massive hole in the team. Boro have now lost 11/20 away matches under Southgate and all 4 in which Woodgate has been missing.
Bet: £5.14 @ 2.25 with Stan James. (Price was heading in the wrong direction on BF, so taken SJ's odds) Loses as Boro win 2-1.
Sunday
Man City v Man U (0-1, 3-1, 0-2, 4-1, 3-1, -)
I am really humming and harring over this one. Really feels as if City are being over-rated on the back of a win at West Ham and a narrow win at home to Derby (hammered 4-0 by Spurs y'day). Utd are missing some big players in Ronaldo and Rooney, but if newcomers Nani and Tevez can find some form then those losses shouldn't be too badly missed. Are Utd really going to go 3 games without a win at the start of the season? Utd are currently backable at 2.0 on BF and I going to put up a back of 2.06 to see if it gets matched before KO. Afterall to get evens (after comm.) for a team that has won 61% of it's away fixtures over the last 3 seasons, and 2/3 of the corresponding fixture, should not be missed.
UM bet: Utd tb City @ 2.06
update: bet not matched, price 1.96 post KO, see how long it takes to get up to 2.06 after KO. // Utd mudt be dominating as price continues to drop in the opening 10 mins, 1.89.
update: Took Utd @ 4 after 40 mins with City leading 1-0. Bet LOSES.
